Sustainability and EUDR
A frontier agricultural region on the edge of the Amazon carries an obligation to be precise about land use. Nothing on this page is claimed without evidence behind it.
What does EUDR require, and are you ready?
It requires plot-level geolocation proving the coffee was not grown on land deforested after 31 December 2020, plus a due diligence statement from the operator placing it on the EU market. Our status on each requirement below is set out in writing for EU buyers before a first order, rather than described here as complete.

For European buyers EUDR is becoming a hard gate rather than a preference. Being honest about where we are is more useful than a claim you would audit anyway.
Where does the coffee sit relative to standing forest?
In the southern Amazon, which makes land-use precision more consequential here than in an established coffee region. What is under coffee, what is under other use and what is standing forest is being documented property by property, and buyers who need it receive it in writing.

What certifications do you hold for sustainability claims?
None. Organic, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance are all unheld, and each requires chain-of-custody certification at every step rather than only at the farm. We would rather publish that plainly than describe practices in a way that reads as certification.
